200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program with
International Institute of Professional Yoga Teacher and Yoga Place

Yoga Place gains the authority of International Institute of Professional Yoga Teacher (IIPYT) in the United States to offer accredited Yoga teacher training diploma program.  Having passed the final examination the student will receive a diploma from the IIPYT, US.

This is an one year comprehensive and intensive Yoga teacher training (YTT) program prepares you to teach yoga for beginning and intermediate students. This YTT builds on Yoga foundation with a progression of challenging asanas, teaching skills and understanding of yoga philosophy that will help you grow as a yoga teacher.


This YTT program is also approved as a basic 200-hour* Yoga Teacher Program by the Yoga Alliance. Successful teacher graduates from Yoga Place will also be eligible to be nationally certified through the Yoga Alliance in the United States and use the registry mark (200 hours) and letters RYT 200 (200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher) after your name.

* This 200-hour YTT program requires home work and/or home study that comprise the remaining non-contact hours required by Yoga Alliance.

This YTT is also accredited by Hong Kong Occupational Therapy Association and eligible for 12 CPE.
　

Program

This one-year YTT includes modules and practical:

Modules: Yoga history, anatomy, physiology, philosophy, nutrition, biomechanics of movement of yoga asanas, pranayama, chanting, meditation, relaxation, and charkra.

Practical: Peer teaching, demonstration, presentation, observation, hand adjustment, pose modification, asana analysis, and class planning. Curriculum is designed to help you progress as a good yoga teacher.

This program includes:

• Once a week in Level 2 class for practical in a real beginners class for demonstration, presentation, observation, and adjustment; and

• Once a week in Level 3 or Level 4 class for personal practice.

Please note the media for this YTT mainly in Cantonese, with Sanskrit.

Entry requirement:

Minimum 2 years of yoga practice experience
(no minimum requirement for existing Yoga Place members)
